New Year, New Shop

Wait, where did January go?! I think I lost it somewhere under the blankets and hot water bottles and empty lemsip sachets that made up the end of last year and the start of this one. Ah well, such is winter, the Time of Lurg. Moving on!

The Shop

I made the decision to move from my old Etsy shop to a new shop section on the Giddy Minnow site. There are various reasons, but mostly I think it's about having as much as possible in the one place, rather than scattered about - gallery, blog and now shop all together.

The Wix Store app made it pretty easy to set up, and so far managing the shop seems to be going smoothly too. I'm looking forward to adding small batches of prints and cards through the year, so we'll see how it goes!

Valentines

This year I drew my first dragon with valentines in mind. Feeling like a natural progression from my leafy dragons, I tried out an idea for a flower themed dragon. I had to start with roses really, didn't I?

I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, and I decided to get a batch of cards and just a short limited edition of 10 prints made. I'm thinking it'd be nice to do a new flower each year, with a limited run of prints, so they're that little bit more special.
